Grabbed takeout here after visiting Bellemara distillery and it was excellent! Pesto hummus, lamb gyro, and falafel platter and mixed desserts were all so good. The falafel was outstanding! We were told by the super nice man taking our order that they're made the traditional way without chickpeas and instead using fava beans. Lamb gyro was very good as well. I also recommend the spicy yogurt sauce. Definitely don't skip the desserts! You can get a mixed box trying just a small piece of each of them. Ambiance is like a super cozy and fun coffee shop here with tons of art for sale on the wall. Can't wait to come back and try more things next time.

a large table of 8 suddenly appeared and rearranged the dining room. Susan, our server, was nonplussed and graciously, patiently, and skillfully described the menu options. We had an amazing appetizer platter which was cleaned off in no time our dinner items were all made to our spice level preference, and served with elegance and exceptional taste We were given a tour of the local artists work decorating the walls . Ask about the fantastic artwork created by the Falafal House's very own chef, and other items found within the restaurant. My favorite was the eggplant appetizer, and of course , Susan our server. Reasonably priced, great time, outstanding food! Give it a try. located in the strip mall behind Dunkin Donuts.

Having lived in Chicago for the past six years, whenever I come back to Hillsborough to visit family and friends I'm always looking for food that stacks up to what I've come to expect in a city known for its culinary scene. When it comes to Mediterranean options in Hillsborough, Falafel House does it right, in execution, portion size, and price. The falafels themselves, while a little on the dense side, were flavorful and perfectly crispy, not too much breading. The baba ganoush and marinated tomatoes were incredible, fresh and bursting with flavor. The pita was honestly some of the best I've had, a real light sear on the outside and perfectly chewy. A really delightful meal for under $15, a new go-to whenever I'm back in town.

Update: I was working from home so my friend decided to surprise me for lunch. We decided to go here and the place is so cute. I loved all the decor, I could not stop looking at everything. The lovely lady at the register told me they sell the wall art and I was like wow supporting small businesses. I did not buy anything though. For lunch my friend for the Chicken Shawarma Platter and I got the Chicken Shawarma Sandwich. We decided to eat in for change of scene. I only ate half the sandwich, but took the rest home. I am glad I gave them another chance. I will be going back. 2021: First let me start of by saying we are pleasantly shocked by the price and amount ratio. When I pulled them up my boyfriend is like whoa this has to be an error in pricing. I got the lamb platter he got the beef gyro platter. When it got here we were surprised by the amount of food. I couldn't even finish mine. The only reason it is not 5stars because the spicy hummus wasn't spicy. Glad we found this.

I ordered here once again and went with 2 different entrees. I had the chicken shawarma platter ($9.95) and the Egyptian sausage (10.95). The chicken came over rice with a side fresh garden salad and marinated tomato pieces. I opted for the spicy tahini over the chicken. This was very good. There was a great value here given the amount of food received. My only complaint was the lumpiness in some of the rice. The sausage was served over pasta and cheese with spicy tahini as well. The sausage was somewhat soft, which I was not expecting, but it was flavorful. Again, the spicy tahini adds so much to a particular dish and it did here too.

Finally got to check this place off my bookmarks. After some friends posted pics of how delicious the food was here I definitely wanted to pay them a visit. We stopped by for dinner on a Saturday evening and were invited to choose a table and look over the menu and then place the order at the counter. Of course I looked over the food pics before I came and I really wanted to try the cabbage rolls but I didn't see them on the menu. So I asked if they had them and thankfully they did because they were a delicious appetizer to start our meal. Then for our dinners we had a chicken and a beef Shawerma platter. The platters are plentiful and served with rice, fresh garden salad, and marinated tomato with tahini. We really enjoyed the platters and you get your choice of sauces to top the platter. Everything here was delicious and the hosts were most friendly and gracious. I highly recommend you pay them a visit...
